UFH PROJECT – BARN CONVERSION

Building Construction : A listed barn, one of three completed

Underfloor heating system : Foiled polystyrene and pipework fitted in between joists on the first floor,
insulation, pipe and staples system on the ground floor.

We recently undertook a large barn refurbishment project for a bespoke house builder based in the Knutsford area of Cheshire. Three barns required complete underfloor heating systems installing, with the first floors being traditional joist construction and the ground floors concrete slab. We advised and installed a pipe in foil insulation system on the first floor, which meant no change to the floor to ceiling height so the barn would not be loosing any of its original features or character. There were a number of different levels to install on but using our experience we were able to design and install a bespoke system ideal for the this bespoke project.
